Gallatin Pike Speed Reduction

In efforts to align with the Vision Zero (http://visionzero.nashville.gov) approach, NDOT is reducing the speed limit on Gallatin Pike from South 5th Street to the Sumner County line.

The new speed limits will be as follows:
* S 5th St to Eastland Ave - 35 mph to 30 mph
* Eastland Ave Due West Ave - 40 mph to 35 mph
* Due West Ave to W Old Hickory Blvd - 35 mph to 30 mph
* W Old Hickory Blvd to Anderson Ln - No Change
* Anderson Ln to Sumner County Line 45 mph to 40 mph

Variable message boards (VMS) will be installed on Monday, December 1 to alert drivers of the upcoming speed reduction. New speed limits will begin the week of December 15.
